I was raised in a suburb of Dayton, Ohio named Centerville where I graduated in the top 3% of my high school class. I went on to Indiana University where I graduated with a BS in Computer Science and Physics and, later, with a MS in Computer Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence. Immediately after graduation I went to work in the Artificial Intelligence Technology Center of Digital Equipment Corporation. After the company was merged with Compaq, I became interested in the Web and joined the internal Web Services Group which was responsible for many of the internal web applications used by the company. After that group moved to Corporate Headquarters in Houston, I joined a group that provided essential software to our High Performance Computing customers. When that group decided to focus mainly on hardware development, I began looking for my next exciting opportunity.
